Happy Easter!

Wow!!  We are having too much fun this week getting ready for Easter!  The children have had a blast and I think I went on picture overload!  :)  We've been talking about sheep, chicks, and bunny rabbits this week and of course have some fun art projects to go along with it!  The children got to use some fun techniques too like painting with a FORK, sponge painting, and marble painting!

They also did an "Egg-celent" job with decorating eggs!  Once again, these were done in really fun ways including using Shaving Cream!

It wouldn't be Easter week without talking about why we celebrate Easter.  Several classrooms did activities with crosses to serve as our reminder.  One classroom did a color matching activity while others did dot painting!

We also dyed Easter eggs, played Pin the Head on the Bunny, and did an Egg Roll!

Jellybeans make great math manipulatives!  The children sorted jellybeans by color and our Pre-K class made a graph to show which color they had the most of in their bag of jellybeans.  I'm pretty sure a few were tasted as well!!

Of course, we had to have an Easter Egg Hunt!  Each classroom got to hunt for eggs during their Recess time.  It was a great opportunity to talk about sharing and helping our friends that haven't found as many eggs.  The kiddos were so excited!

Even with all this fun, we can't forget our focus items like our letter of the week!  Several classrooms did "i is for inchworm" but one classroom is ready for Spring with "i is for isolated storms"!
The Waddlers painted stars, yellow and they just so happen to have 5 points!  One activity brought in our color, shape, and number of the week!  YEA!  Another class did sponge painting with stars!
At the end of a fun week, we hope you are able to do just this for Easter weekend:
Enjoy time "Chillin with your PEEPS" and being thankful that we serve a Risen Savior!  HAPPY EASTER!!!
